Thanks to those who packed the room at the Supervisors on Tuesday. What a heartwarming show of support.

Please join us at the Sonoma County Waste Management Agency (SCWMA) meeting on Wednesday, May 20.

We are anticipating a VOTE that will determine the future of the Sonoma County organics composting facility.

Please let the SCWMA Board know why keeping our yard debris composting program is important to you, and to the farming, landscape, and backyard gardening communities. We must let them know what the unintended consequences are to shutting down our local organics program. The majority of the SCWMA has been working hard to keep composting occurring locally, as they have struggled with many challenging situations.

Wednesday May 20, 9am

(or immediately following Closed Session).

Santa Rosa City Council Chambers

100 Santa Rosa Ave., Santa Rosa

Please note: Public Comment is at the beginning of the meeting. If you plan to speak, please be prepared to step up as soon as the Chair announces it is time for Public Comment on items NOT on the Agenda. There are no speaker cards, just step up to the microphone, and state your name.

See Agenda at: http://www.recyclenow.org/agency/current_packet.asp

Please join us at the SCWMA meeting on Wednesday. We would like to fill the room with supporters acknowledging the Board for their work to find a way to keep our regional compost operation LOCAL.
