Join Sonoma Land Trust Sunday October 25 as they Breach the Levee at Sears Point

From Sonoma Land Trust:

Ten years ago, with the support of our members, we purchased the Sears Point property. This month, we reach our goal of restoring tidal marsh at the edge of San Francisco Bay. Join us to witness the return of the tides to nearly 1,000 acres that had been sealed off from the Bay for over 100 years.

Explore the project on foot along the future 2.5-mile addition to the San Francisco Bay Trail, visit the newly-breached levee site to watch the waters rushing through, or just come take a peek! Native seed packets will be distributed so you can participate in seeding the new tidal marsh.

Sunday, October 25, 2015
Open between 2pm and 6pm
On Reclamation Road at the Juncture of Hwy 37 and Lakeville Hwy

This event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required.
