Please enjoy the crickets and quietude around here, while RR unpacks at the new Petaluma hen house we’ll be hanging at for a spell. We’ll be back in the crowing business shortly.
On March 31 Merry Jane premiered “Highly Productive: Lagunitas Brewing Company,” the first episode of a new series dedicated to “debunking the stoner stereotype,”
The premiere appropriately focuses on Tony Magee, founder and CEO of the Lagunitas Brewing Co. of Petaluma, and longtime proud partaker of pot. Smoking cannabis has always been a major feature of the company’s culture, not to mention its West Marin roots.
Highly Productive profiles “people who kick ass at their career but still enjoy or medically partake in cannabis.”
Magee suggests that some “people think that drugs make you more creative, but they don’t. But if you get it just right, you know, it helps you listen. It’s like a little spot between will and will-lessness. If I’m trying to think of what the business needs to do next, you gotta listen. That’s my approach.”
Merry Jane was founded autumn of 2015 by investor and weed advocate & aficionado, Snoop Dogg. Read Forbes magazine staffer Ellen Huet’s take on Merry Jane here.
