On November 13, 1960 over 1,000 members of the Society of Friends – Quakers – surrounded the Pentagon for a silent vigil to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the first Quaker Peace Testimony issued to King Charles II in 1660. Read the complete text of the 1660 declaration here.
